The Building Representative is a volunteer position for each of the seven buildings in our community. The goal is to improve communication, increase community awareness, and help ensure that residents feel informed and supported. Enforcing or reporting rule violations is NOT a responsibility of the role. This requires a minimal time commitment. Your BOD will provide necessary information to set you up for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a friendly point of contact between residents in your building and the Board.
- Relay resident concerns or questions to the Board when appropriate
- Help residents locate community documents (e.g., rules, answers to common questions, forms etc).
- Help interpret or explain condo rules and procedures in a friendly, helpful way.
- Welcome new residents and orient them with basic community info.
- Be aware of some simple how-tos in and around your building (water valves, turning from A/C to heat, gas fireplace, hose, flower pot)
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns.
What This Role Is Not:
- This is not an enforcement position or a substitute for property management.
- You are not expected turn in rule violations, mediate disputes or solve complex maintenance issues.
- You are not legally liable for resident actions or building compliance.
- No formal meetings or reports are required
